I couldn’t say enough good things about Dr. Kristy, although based on what I know from acquaintances, ALL the doctors at the Dr. Wendy clinic are… equally exceptional. We adopted our cat from an abusive household which resulted in extreme anxiety and difficult behavior, and we haven’t been able to find a vet that can examine Bandit (our cat) without getting attacked, until someone recommended the Dr. Wendy clinic to us. You can truly see the many years of experience under Dr. Kristy’s belt: she knew exactly how to deal with and handle Bandit, and was extremely accommodating to Bandit’s emotional comfort every step of the way. She understood Bandit’s limits and how far she could safely push him before giving him a break. Any moment of doubt that I had was put to rest as soon as she calmly worked her magic to get what she needed from him. Even when Bandit ran to the other room after getting an injection, he came back only a minute later to hang out because he felt safe with the vet and even seemed to like her. She was also very respectful of us (Bandit’s owners) and our own boundaries, we never felt pushed or forced to do anything that we weren’t comfortable with at any point. Even my extremely anxious mom felt safe and comfortable the entire appointment. What I appreciated the most was that she truly listened, believed, and trusted us as the owners when we warned her about Bandit’s behavior, which is why she was able to help us set Bandit up for success even ahead of the appointment. We never felt heard when we tried warning other vets, but Dr. Kristy heard and believed us.
