At Home Peaceful Euthanasia
One of the most difficult decisions you will need to make as a pet parent is knowing when it is time to say goodbye. We recognize that your pet is a cherished member of the family. The shared life experiences you have together, the tough times they undoubtedly helped you through, make the bond you have beyond special.
A home euthanasia allows for a peaceful passing in your pet’s favorite spot. Perhaps, that is your lap, a sunbeam, or a cozy bed beside the fireplace. We walk you through every step of the process, so you know what to expect. A pre-sedation can also be sent out to give prior to the vet’s arrival if needed. Once the vet arrives an injectable sedative is given to ensure your pet’s comfort. Once you and your pet are ready, the final euthanasia medication is given, usually in a vein.
If you are not sure if it is time, you can book a quality of life exam where a full physical exam is completed. Together, we discuss all the options. After that there will be time, if that is your decision, to proceed with the euthanasia that same appointment.
