The veterinarian’s office can be a stressful place for your pet. It’s an unfamiliar place, with unfamiliar people and sometimes – depending on why you’ve come – it can also be an unsettling experience for them. Dr. Wendy Vet Care, is a team of veterinarians that are dedicated to your pets.

That’s we’ve adapted our services to come to you. So you and your pet can enjoy the comforts of your home while we check in on your loved one. So for all of your pets medical needs, give us a call and make the most of your mobile vet in Calgary.

    Vaccinations

Just like humans, it’s important to get your pet vaccinated. Because it can prolong their lifespan, protect them from diseases like lyme disease or rabies and also protect other pets in the animal community. Not every animal can get vaccines. Some have conditions that make it risky to vaccinate them, or they might simply be too young.

It’s every pet owner’s responsibility to vaccinate their pets. Lucky for you, our Calgary, mobile vets will come to you. And thanks to our vans, we’ll have all of the necessary equipment to vaccinate your pet in your home.

    Annual health checkup

Calgary mobile vets also provide annual checkups! We’ll come by at the scheduled appointment and provide your pet with a thorough assessment. We recommend having your pet assessed at least once per year. With a trained eye, we know what to look for. This way we can detect any problems that might be developing and treat it before it turns into something serious.

At Dr. Wendy Vet Care, we keep records of all our patients. This way we can easily keep track of any conditions, developing symptoms and more. The more informed we are, the better care we can give to your pet.

    Quality of life assessment

It can be sad, however, aging is simply a part of life. And there’s not much we can do about it. However, we can affect the quality of that life. Sometimes aging and dying can be extremely uncomfortable and even painful. Our Calgary mobile vets offer quality of life assessments. Our veterinarian will provide you with all the information you need concerning your pet’s condition.

We’ll come to you and give your pet a complete assessment, provide you detailed information about their condition and what measures or solutions for your pet. Our vet will give you tips on how you can make your pet’s life more comfortable so they can enjoy their time with you.

    Nail clipping

Unless trained from a young age, nail clipping can be a difficult task. It’s not a comfortable feeling for your pet to have their paws manipulated (especially in strange places, by people they’ve never met). However, nail clipping is important for their health and that of your floors. If left unchecked nails can grow long and jagged. When it gets to the stage, their nail can get caught on something and cause some serious pain.

Our mobile vets, Calgary, will clip your pet’s nails in the comfort of your – and their – home. This can make their nail clipping experience less stressful for you, your pet and the nail clipper! We’ll show up with all the necessary tools to make it a smooth experience.

    Diagnostic testing

Diagnostics testing is essential for assessing your pet’s condition, finding a solution to their ailment and providing them with proper care. Often we can assess your pet’s condition with a simple test. Often, when that test fails, we have additional methods to help figure out what’s going on. Our vets have the equipment to collect blood, stools and other samples.

Our Calgary mobile vets are fully equipped for all diagnostic testing for your pets. We can collect the necessary samples at your home and bring them back to our lab for further, more in-depth assessment. So you know your pet is in good hands.

At 15, during the start of the pandemic Marmalade had 3-6 months to live. Now, at 18, the loving relationship that Dr. Wendy has with her has… granted her at least 3 more years of life. Carefully suggested meds, balanced care plans, financially feasible costs, and compassionate care have been hallmarks of Dr. Wendy’s service for the 9+ years I’ve had the honor of having her as our Vet. Dr. Wendy’s end-of-life care is just-right; she focuses on Marmalade’s comfort and happiness.Dr. Wendy always loves to see Marmalade. So much joy and love pours forth for our little feline familiar, and she loves to see Dr. Wendy, too. Dr. Wendy sees her heart and personality, and takes joy in playing with and spoiling her; it seems simple, but I believe the sincere connection they’ve both formed, and the guidance Dr. Wendy has given me regarding caring for Marmalade, has provided her with that extra time. This is in no small part to Dr. Wendy’s expertise, but this care and love is applied in an aware and connected manner. Dr. Wendy -sees- our cat. I couldn’t hope for a more aware and grounded veterinary doctor; she bears witness to the relationship I have with our animal, and Marmalade lights up when Dr. Wendy walks into the room.read more
